My mind is made up for the future. This is what I want, and will get someday. Just so you know, I'm breaking the 40-year 911 trend my family has had for this, but I'm ze Porsche Tamer! No one decides Porsche for me!!
Ima go dream about white Cayman GTS now.

*Everyone wait 5 minutes, it'll change to a 911!*
![]() 09/04/2014 at 23:59 |

Yuck. Why not get a Macan while you're at it
![]() 09/04/2014 at 23:59 |

911 TARGA Turbo S FTW
![]() 09/05/2014 at 00:01 |

It doesn't have to be a 911. That's quite hot.
![]() 09/05/2014 at 00:01 |

I like the Macan.

These look like they were taken off a G65, Which is a bad thing, considering that is the worst feature of the G65.
![]() 09/05/2014 at 00:03 |

No dude, buy a Murano Cross Cabriolet.
![]() 09/05/2014 at 00:04 |

I like it honestly. It's 918-ish.
![]() 09/05/2014 at 00:10 |

I think you're forgetting a step
You have to drive the cars!!!
![]() 09/05/2014 at 00:13 |

One day I will! :)
![]() 09/05/2014 at 00:18 |

Only this will do

Here is my take from driving a new Boxster S, 991 and 991 C2S
I like the Boxster/Cayman S platform better than the base 991.
But I like the Carrera S better than them all
![]() 09/05/2014 at 00:30 |
|
Ooh now that's tempting. Carrera C2S with the Powerkit package.
Wait. Must not second guess myself!! :-/
![]() 09/05/2014 at 00:33 |
|
Or you could get a low mileage 997.2 GTS!!
![]() 09/05/2014 at 01:56 |
|
lol no stahp pls.
![]() 09/05/2014 at 07:04 |
|
Or you could just not get a 991, but still get a 911.
Like a 997. Or 993. Or 964.
![]() 09/05/2014 at 10:06 |

This is also true.
![]() 09/05/2014 at 10:06 |

And the most logical. And the most fun. And the coolest.
![]() 09/05/2014 at 10:18 |
|
Also true. And completely factual.
![]() 09/05/2014 at 14:02 |
|
why?
![]() 09/05/2014 at 14:02 |
|
Because I'll get conflicted again. :(
![]() 09/05/2014 at 14:36 |
|
but you know my answer is the correct one!
![]() 09/05/2014 at 20:28 |

Have you accepted that I'm right yet?
A 997.2 GTS is superior to the current Cayman S and C2/C2S.
Reasons:
1. MUCH better steering
2. Looks better
3. Better Manuél
4. Way more rare so will retain value better
5. You are K Roll, you should stick to the 911
6. More reliable than a 991 because simpler so less to break
7. A true rear engine car instead of a rear engine car with the engine pushed as far forward as possible
8. It would make you distinguished. Everyone who drives a 911 GTS is a Sir
9. It has a real emergency brake. It can into rallying :D
10. Because I said so

OMG..........
I FORGOT ABOUT THE FUCKING ELECTRONIC PARKING BREAK FOR LAZY FUCKERS WHO CANT PULL UP A DAMN LEVER!!!!
![]() 09/05/2014 at 22:19 |
|
HOW COULD YOU FORGET??? YOU ARE THE TAMER OF PORSCHES!!!
I hate those electronic parking brakes with a passion!
I love, love, love my old school p brake. I love the satisfaction of pulling it up when I park the car. It makes me feel connected to my Dad's '82 SC. It reminds me of the few times he'd let me drive that car when I was in high school.
And my hydraulic power steering reminds me of his SC too. Because while it's not as awesome as having no power steering at all it is the next best thing. The steering in my car is so damn good. It's not over boosted at all. And the feedback is amazing. And I love how when you're parking and you are done with your maneuver and let go of the wheel it kind of snaps back in place. The overall package of the traditional parking brake, power steering that is so well done it's almost like a car with no power steering, and manually headlights combines to make my car feel closely related to the older 911s.
The 991 is an awesome car. But it just doesn't *feel* like the classic 911s. It's so luxurious and so advanced.
I could see how I would love a 991 if it was my only car and I didn't have ze Bimmers. But since I have the modern and luxurious E90 M3 DCT for heavy traffic or very bad road duties I greatly prefer the more traditional feeling 997 over the more modern and luxurious 991. Since you are the tamer of air cooled 911s and a Porsche historian I think you would feel more content and connected to a 997 than a 991 or Cayman.

I see your point. This is all true.
![]() 09/05/2014 at 22:31 |
|
Yay :D
Have you driven a 997 yet?
![]() 09/05/2014 at 22:32 |
|
No... :'(
![]() 09/05/2014 at 22:34 |
|
Don't be sad. That should actually make you happy. You know why?
Because now you have something to look forward to. When you first drive one it will be a magical moment. It will be like the first time you drove an air cooled 911.
It will be a huge experience to drive the only water cooled 911 that both looks and feels like the classic 911s!
![]() 09/05/2014 at 22:37 |
|
But now I wanna drive one right now. :(
![]() 09/05/2014 at 22:39 |

If you lived in So Cal you could come over and drive mine right now!
![]() 09/05/2014 at 22:45 |
|
I wish!! :(
![]() 09/05/2014 at 22:47 |

I let a CA Opponaut drive it and it was SCARY
Ze Porsche feels so much faster when you're not in control!
![]() 09/05/2014 at 22:54 |
|
I know. I let my friend drive the FoST, I shit my pants. And it wasn't even tuned!!
![]() 09/05/2014 at 22:57 |
|
Now it's tuned? :O
![]() 09/05/2014 at 23:01 |
|
I can take the tune on and off at will. I keep it off most of the time to save gas and money.
![]() 09/05/2014 at 23:01 |
|
Nioce!
Does it hurt warranty?
![]() 09/05/2014 at 23:02 |
|
Maliciously! If they only knew I had it hehehe...
![]() 09/05/2014 at 23:05 |

Nice! So you can hide it or take it off before taking the car in for service?
And there is no log of it being used in ze computer?
